Tips
These are some basic tips to help you get better at face painting.
● Use a sponge, not a brush, to fill in large areas. This makes the painting process much quicker.
● Keep a different sponge for different colors. This eliminates the necessity of washing out the sponges so often.
● Layer on color thinly. If you put on the color too thickly, it can crack.
● Know what you’re going to paint before you start.
● If you have a line of people waiting to be painted, tell the next person in line to start deciding what they want on their face. This will save you time.
● Remember to take a mirror with you so people can see their faces after they’ve been painted.
● Take a lot of tissues with you for cleaning your brushes and hands.
● Wear an apron or old clothing to protect your clothes.
● Most paints can be removed with soap and water. Cleansing cream can be used to remove stubborn marks.
